Gypsy & Canter

Ranthambore Jungle Safari

Safari in the Ranthambore Jungle Safari is the best way to explore the wildlife in this jungle and observe the animals in their natural habitats. For the Jungle safari here, there are two main safari options.

Gypsy Safari

First is Gypsy Safari, which is a six-seater vehicle. The best thing about this safari is that it is more personal and ideal for family members and small groups. Also, it works well for photographers.

Canter Safari

The Second is the Canter Safari, which is a 20-seater open bus. This is a good option for budget travellers and people who are looking for another option apart from Gypsy Safari.

These two safaris run in both the morning and evening and are available for all 10 zones. Zones 1 to 5 are core zones, while zones 6 to 10 are buffer zones. Although tiger sightings are not guaranteed, the possibility of spotting tigers is higher in Ranthambore Park, including all zones.

Zone Allocation

The Rajasthan Forest Department allocates zones based on availability.

Year-Round Access

Gypsy safaris are available for both core and buffer zones throughout the year. In the monsoon season, only zones 6 to 10 are available.

Visitors can choose morning and evening Gypsy safaris, as it runs in both the time slots.

Essential Documents

Bring photo IDs of every member (Aadhaar card, Passport, or Driving License) for verification.

Timing

Arrive at the gate 30 minutes before the scheduled safari time.

Photography

Do not make noise during the safari. Also, do not use a flashlight while taking pictures.

Follow all your guide's instructions and stay inside the vehicle throughout the safari.
